History behind Sri Brahmalingeshwara Temple Kenjar
Every year 24th of May Kenjar villagers come together to a hill in Adma Adappas House to offer coconut (breaking the coconut) perform pooja since decades. No one was aware why this coconut braking ceremony was passed on generation to generations. Recently due to rain/land slide the place where villagers offered coconut was spoiled. Afterwards Kenjar villagers faced lot of Obstacles & Difficulties in their day to day life. So Adma Adappas present generation & Kenjar villagers decided for an ASTAMANGALA under the guidance of Shree Girish Podhuval.
He found that there was a Temple with Lord Brahmalingeshwara, Subramanya, Ganapathi, Raktheshwari, Nandikona, Nagadev & Doomavathi Bunta/Guliga as protector of area. Which was demolished by the invaders about 500-600years ago? Temple has a history of 1500years. According to Astamangala Shree Girish Podhuval Suggested to rebuild the Temple in the same spot.
The spot were Temple has to be built is filled with Stones/Rocks. Adappas & Kenjar villagers decided to level the land, build a small Gudi & fixed a day to install the God, perform pooja/Bhajan for time being.
After this Adappas & Kenjar villagers decided to rebuild a Beautiful Sri Brahmalingeshwara Temple on that Spot. This Project is not possible without public support Temple cannot be built by 1 or 2 people.
So All Bagavadbakth’s contribute Physically/Mentally/Emotionally & Financially to build the new Sri Brahmalingeshwara Temple. Be a part of rebuilding process & Seek Lords blessings.
